For new contact wearers, we understand that inserting and removing them can be overwhelming. According to professionals, it can take up to two weeks to adjust to new lenses, so we’ve created a step-by-step guide to help you easily put your contacts in and remove them.
How do you put in Contacts Lenses?

Wash Your Hands
First, wash your hands with soap and water before and after handling the contact lenses. Dry your hands with a lint-free towel to prevent any particles from getting on the lenses before you try to put them into your eye.
Proper Handling
Use your fingertips to handle lenses, avoiding using your nails to prevent damage or rips in the lenses. Be gentle and avoid squeezing them too hard, which can cause creases in the lenses.
Insert Lenses
Wake up a little earlier to account for some time to get your contacts in. Look up and use the other hand to hold the eyelid open. Place the lens on the white part of your eye.
Make Sure the Contact Lens is in Place
Lastly, close your eye and blink to position it correctly until it is adjusted and comfortable.
How to Remove Contact Lenses
Remember to always wash your hands before touching your contact lenses or eyes. To remove your contact lenses, look up and pull down your lower eyelid. Pinch the lens gently between the thumb and forefinger, avoiding contact with your nails, and remove the lens from your eye.
Your doctor will recommend a cleaning solution. Once the contact is removed, clean the lenses with the solution. Store your contacts in a clean lens case with the solution every time you remove them from your eyes.
